Knees

We depend on them, and when they hurt with every step, we start to realize how much we need them. Looks like it's going to be "knee week" in my office---several patients with knee problems. With ACTIVATOR, I make precise, directional adjustments to the knee. This, along with some rest and nutritional support, often solves the problem.

Keys to Healthy Sitting

Keys to healthy sitting include:
---both feet flat on the floor,
---knees slightly lower than the level of the hips,
---back resting comfortably against your chair,
---keep your head in line with center of gravity of your body
      (avoid head-forward postures).
One of the most important features of whatever chair you use is that you can change the height of the seat.

Chronic Pelvic / Low Back Pain

If you have chronic pelvic or low back pain, it is critical to look for what is happening at your feet (called your "pedal foundation"). If you pronate or have flat arches, this reverberates all the way up through your legs, knees, hips, pelvis, and into the low back. Unless your feet are addressed, a treatment plan for your pelvic or low back pain may not be successful.

Your FRAMEWORK

Think of your bones & joints as your FRAMEWORK---the essential supports that the rest of your body attaches to, is contained by, and depends on. When that framework is distorted or skewed, or some joints are "stuck," affecting movement, your body is out of balance. You may feel tension or pain. My specialty is full-body balancing, of your framework, to restore full & comfortable functioning.

So our body's health depends on the health of the SOIL where our food was grown? Here's a doctor whose "thinking dirty" explains why:  http://www.yesmagazine.org/issues/how-to-eat-like-our-lives-depend-on-it/how-dirt-heals-us

When your body is balanced, is in equilibrium, both feet should be bearing equal weight beneath you, and your gait will be easier and smoother. You will be more comfortable, and more effective at your activities. Part of being in equilibrium is also that your joints should be moving properly, and be in normal alignment. As an Activator Chiropractor, these are my specialties. Every patient visit is a full-body balancing, including cranio-sacral.

(2) Support the health of your intestinal tract by taking a good probiotic---up 70% to 80% of our immune system is in our intestinal tract. (3) Get plenty of sleep.
